To be honest, before I even saw the picture, I had a suspicion that it was fake precisely because of the "big, black guy" claim...

I can't believe she added sexual assault to her fake claim later, too. That angered me even more, because not only was she playing on the "black men are criminals" stereotype, she was also drawing on an incredibly disturbing part of our history based on myth that black men were a threat to pure white womanhood. She was appealing to the basest instincts and fears of white racists.

Also, her black eye looks very fake. If someone hits you in the eye hard enough to give you a black eye, it usually breaks blood vessels or at least makes your eye swell a lot. It looked like a bad make-up job.

yeah, really. Not to mention, this is one of the reasons why it's so hard for women who have been sexually assaulted to come forward. The fear of no-one believing them.

First the Johnstown youtube stuff, now this. Western PA is not looking so good lately.

I spent the last 5 days in WV with my Mom staying with her post-sugery since my Dad was out of town for work. I heard a bit about this story and was appalled at the info I first heard. Election violence is disgusting.

Then, her picture shows up on the local WV station. I had to chuckle at the backwards "b" which led me to think it was fake. I believe I told my Mom "Look, some dumb yinzer must have cut her own face to get that perfect backwards 'b'." Turns out she wasn't even a yinzer, but a Texan.

Then, to hear the rest of the story - I'm pissed. The fake beating, the fake black man. Ugh.

Lol, well, that's why I linked two definitions.

Yinzer can be used in the same way that redneck is used elsewhere and can have both negative and positive meanings, depending on the situation.

We have a new guy at work who came here from Philly. His accent and 'youse guys' useage crack me up.

The Pittsburgh left is a handy tool for the left turning vehicle though.

She's an idiot and it's pretty apparent she has mental issues, but she's not indicative of all young, white Republican Texas women. Trust me, she's no spokesperson of mine.

ETA: After reading her myspace profile and blogs, I'm disgusted! Ugh, they need to do a better job of picking campaign volunteers. This girl makes me ashamed of being a Republican woman from TX. Blatant ignorance abounds!
