#1: Get the vote out
Just curious. What have you done to make sure your children take the responsibility to vote seriously? When each of my kids was first eligible to vote I advised them and made sure they registered. On their first vote I went with them to the polls and took a picture of them as they went into the booth. I treated the entire event as a complete Kodak moment. I do live in a very small town and the poll workers thought it was "cute" that I showed up to take the pictures and therefore participated in my recording of the moment (My kids thought it was less cute, but that's for another post). What have other board members done to encourage young people to vote?
