Yep, I'm done for now

I have alot of political sites on my list of websites I visit...not to mention this part of the forum. Everyday the political news just gets more gross, ridiculous, insulting and sad. I'M DONE! Hopefully I'll wake up on Nov. 5th and won't have to worry about my rights being taken away or Caribou Barbie becoming president. Until then I'm just gonna hope for the best and find less depressing ways to spend my time (the Sims perhaps? lol!)

I also agree. Larry David said this election is like waiting for lab results from a doctor. My nerves are frayed and as much as I want it to be over, I'm frightened at what may happen.

Regardless of who wins, I will weep on Nov. 5. If Obama wins, I will be crying tears of joy, hope and relief. If McCain wins, I will cry because I no longer recognize the country I love.
A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.

I have been telling myself I need to step back for weeks. Every night I tell myself, tomorrow I won't watch as much or read as much about the election but I do. I am obsessed with this election and expect to see a last minute disgusting "October suprise" everytime I go on line or turn on the television. I know my husband can't wait for it to be over either so my attention will be back on our family. I would say I'm done but I know I am not.

If "the game" was fairly played, I probably would rest easy thinking Obama would surely win. But I know how the opposition plays, and I've been super worried as a result about what crazy crap they'll do next. I'm going to the polls to vote early, just in case...I don't expect any problems here (I came back to the US for the election so that I can vote in person and this is total Obama territory where I live).

Good luck ladies and let's pray or send some positive vibes to the universe that things will end favorably.

All but one of the voters I have encountered while being a poll greeter have been positive and polite, totally the opposite of the people I've been seeing in the youtube videos outside of the Palin and McCain rallies. And I live in one of the "reddest" states in the U.S.

Of course I also decided to go back to school this semester and my dad has recently gotten very ill so I have NO spare time.

Yet I'm addicted! I love elections like this because they grab the public's attention. People should be involved in each and every election like they are in this one. I'm gonna be sad when the election is over. Just because it'll be over. Hopefully I'll wake up on Nov. 5th (my birthday!) and discover my candidate won and that my healthcare is still funded (local referendum).
