Obama's 30 min TV AD

I just saw a great bumper sticker idea on another site...

Obama: Because I deserve an excellent President.

I loved it. It choked me up in parts and made me feel very proud of this country (which I have not felt in quite sometime).

When he was talking to that man who lost his pension-so freaking unfair and unjust!

It was unbelivable because his message conveyed that we are all the same!

My eyes teared up when the retired man had to work at walmart to help pay for all of his wife's medications.

Please oh please let this good, kind man be elected! I know he can't and won't solve all our problems but for the first time in many many years I actually feel real hope.

I don't know if Obama will make things much better, but I think he will try to help people like me. I don't get that feeling of hopelessness when I think of him winning.

Ditto that, except in addition to tearing up I get a sinking feeling of dread and a blinding pain behind my eyes. The idea that he would lead this country makes me physically sick.

Omaba, his message, his honesty, warms my heart. He's inspiring. He is how Americans should strive to be: concerned about the people around him, and how to help the people who can't help themselves, rather than the corporations who are perfectly capable of helping themselves.

I thought it was fabulous! I went to the gym after work and it had been on on the east coast but not here yet. At the gym I am subjected to Faux News and Hannity and that creepy Guiliani guy were saying how awful the ad was - totally over produced and embarrassing they said. (I do work out wearing an Obama shirt to counteract the propaganda I am subjected to)

I thought it rocked, was exactly what he needed to do right now, and I am so proud that I helped him pay for it in my very modest way.

Go Obama, It's your birthday!

I, too, for the first time ever, felt proud to be an American. It has been very hard to be proud with Bush as president, our economy in shambles, and being at war. But I pray (and I'm not religious either) that Obama wins and makes our country strong and proud and we can relearn the meaning of the American Dream!

I watched his 30 minute segment last night and my eyes welled up with tears and I cried, especially when he spoke about his mother and her death - brought back tons of memories of my mom and her death. He is an amazing man and I truly hope he becomes our next president. He's so inspiring and has truly made me a stronger believer in America and what we really stand for. He's awesome!

She volunteered. She donated. She and her husband participated actively.

I feel like we are seeing something a bit different this time around and I can only hope that it's enough. I just want election day to be here.

He's the kind of person that makes you want to go out and better your self and help others to do better as well. THAT is the kind of leader that we so very, very desperately need.

Obama MUST win.

On a more personal note...geeez, man when he was talking about his mom dying and the fight with the ins. companies and how she never got to see her grandchildren.. same exact thing with my mom. It's weird when your life parallels with someone else's life for a moment. I wish I could give him a hug and just say "I know... me too..."

Obama gives me hope. Never before in the history of me, have I ever said that a politician gave me hope.

Amazing.

I voted in the last 2 elections but that's it. This time I donated, volunteered, bought shirts, bumper stickers, yard signs..and took the 5th off. I wouldve taken the 4th off too if I had enough vacation days. I wanted to volunteer on election day too but I don't think I'll be able to .
He seemed very presidential. I was so proud of him.

I was so happy to see the diversity of the stories featured.

On Morning Joe they were dissin' it. Saying it was sappy and that they should have had candles and soft music accompanying him. Whateva!

My friend said something cute. She said it was like Obama was helping folks along... prepping them for his presidency.

In other words, he was saying "get used to it - I'll be your pres come Jan."

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one tearing up when I watched this ad.

Lao Tzu said: "To lead the people, walk behind them."

That is the kind of leader Obama would be. I trust him completely and I would feel so comforted if he wins, knowing we are in good hands.
"I am not a perfect man and I will not be a perfect president, but I promise you, I will try..."

OMG! So great! And no mention of McSame or Failin. Only spoke to what he will do. This man has class!
Me not so much. Hee.

barack the vote!
*sigh*

Why can't there ever be a positive conversation without Mr or Mrs. Negative input showing up?

Anywaysss.

I can't wait to have a president who knows what my issues and concerns are?! I like that things can feel personal even if they aren't with Obama.

I understand now why Republicans are scared, great feeling to know the president has YOUR best interests at heart and they don't want to lose that... heck, I wouldn't want to lose it either!!!

Pretty soon I won't have to hang my head in shame when someone realizes i'm from America while i'm visiting a new country!!

GO OBAMA!!!!

Also, anyone understand how anyone can proudly call themselves American and be for America but be so upset about the idea of helping their fellow Americans obtain healthcare, money for survival, etc, etc??
