Obama's 30 min TV AD
I'm early, I know it's still on but how touching was that? I can't think of another word other than touching. I have NEVER felt able to connect to a presidential hopeful before. Listening to the stories of the people... what he wants to do for the country. I could actually RELATE to what he was talking about!
I know an immigrant who came here for a better life (my parents!)
I know someone struggling to pay school loans (me!)
I know small business owners
I know someone who struggled with poor healthcare (my gram!)
I want to hug Obama
OBAMA 08!!!!
What do you guys think?

Loved it! It really showed how so very PRO American Obama is. He seems really genuine and compassionate. No acting there. I think he will be great for our country AND its people. It really gives me hope for a better tomorrow!
BTW...I wish I could hug him too!
GO OBAMA!

I know what you mean, I'm not one of the people who watch all the speeches and follow along with everything going on... but I tell you what.. watching that made me WANT to identify as American for the first time I can remember... um.. ever

You hit the nail on the head for me, because that is EXACTLY how I feel, too.
He is Inspiring with a capital I.
He's the kind of person that makes you want to go out and better your self and help others to do better as well. THAT is the kind of leader that we so very, very desperately need.
Obama MUST win.
On a more personal note...geeez, man when he was talking about his mom dying and the fight with the ins. companies and how she never got to see her grandchildren.. same exact thing with my mom. It's weird when your life parallels with someone else's life for a moment. I wish I could give him a hug and just say "I know... me too..."
Obama gives me hope. Never before in the history of me, have I ever said that a politician gave me hope.
Amazing.
OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!

I know, that same part all I could think of was my gram... she was dieing from cancer and was concerned about how certain treatments would effect her insurance. She didn't want us to be left with the bill once she passed away... that man almost made me cry!

Same here! I got teary-eyed because it's the same thing I went through with my dad. It was the most difficult time in my life to watch him suffer.
NO ONE deserves to go without health insurance.

YES!! And wasn't that McCain that said EVERYONE has access to healthcare? And in such a short amount of time how many of us know someone who suffered because they were without it.

I thought it was fabulous! I went to the gym after work and it had been on on the east coast but not here yet. At the gym I am subjected to Faux News and Hannity and that creepy Guiliani guy were saying how awful the ad was - totally over produced and embarrassing they said. (I do work out wearing an Obama shirt to counteract the propaganda I am subjected to)
I thought it rocked, was exactly what he needed to do right now, and I am so proud that I helped him pay for it in my very modest way.
Go Obama, It's your birthday!

It made me tear up when he was talking to the older man that didn't get all of his retirement. He went from $1500 a month to $379. You could tell he was swallowing back tears.

Very very touching, before I saw it I thought "Why would you buy 30 min of air time for a commercial instead of doing some show?" I now see why he did this and think it is much more effective than a show slot. You get to connect with Obama on a more personal level, I think it humbled his image further.
Loved it!

My eyes teared up when the retired man had to work at walmart to help pay for all of his wife's medications.

I know! When he put that Walmart tag on then they showed his wife putting lotion on her poor fingers I thought my heart would break! I cried through all the people stories. How has our country sunk so low?
Please oh please let this good, kind man be elected! I know he can't and won't solve all our problems but for the first time in many many years I actually feel real hope.

"I am not a perfect man and I will not be a perfect president, but I promise you, I will try..."
OMG! So great! And no mention of McSame or Failin. Only spoke to what he will do. This man has class!
Me not so much. Hee.
