I see where they "project" but are all the official votes in, counted, and reported? California just closed their polling places recently.

According to PBS, all of the stations, including CNN, are relying on exit polls. That may have changed as some states have had time to count their votes, but I don't know for sure if all of the votes have been counted in the states that have been called.

I'm not saying that he can't win but the exit polls aren't an exact science.
I'm curious as to when the actual official announcement will be made.

McCain handled it well and gave a good speech that seemed sincere. I did think it was tacky that people booed. It seemed as if McCain knew he lost way before it was announced.

I thought McCain's speech was very eloquent. He did a great job. I thought Obama's speech was wonderful as well... who else saw Oprah crying?
That alone, made me laugh through my own fit of crying... I love America!
