Obama just won North Carolina

They just announced it for him. Takes him over 350. Sounds like a mandate to me. Is it just me or has the air seemed fresher the past two days?
agreed. I was just ready to post this.

now we just have to wait on Missouri.

FYI..
Obama's win in North Carolina was the first for a Democratic presidential candidate since Jimmy Carter won the state in 1976.

As I said to my assistant.... How do you spell crushed, exactly?

(Works better when you're not typing it....)
"And politically correct is the worst term, not just because it’s dismissive, but because it narrows down the whole social justice spectrum to this idea that it’s about being polite instead of about dismantling the oppressive social structure of power.
Fun Fact: When you actively avoid being “PC,” you’re not being forward-thinking or unique. You’re buying into systems of oppression that have existed since before you were even born, and you’re keeping those systems in place."
Stolen.
How is "landslide" defined? I'm completely serious about this. Is it defined by the electoral votes or the popular votes. I have heard people say that it's not a landslide, but if you're looking at the electoral votes, it seems like one to me.

Great! I was wondering about North Carolina.

I would say electorally it's a landslide but he did get a clear majority of the popular vote (this might bump it up a little too) and 4 percentage points is nothing to scoff at.

Well, in 1984 (for his second term) Reagan got 525 electoral votes (out of 538 and carried 49 out of 50 states). His popular vote was 58%. That was a landslide. I think Obama's win was significant, but not really a landslide. His 52% popular vote is fabulous really.

He also won Indiana. He won by less than 30K votes.

It does look like an electoral landslide.
