Default President Obama's address to Congress

I think he's doing really, really good. I haven't heard a State address this good in a long time. I love what he said about the responsibility of everyone to go beyond a HS education.

I love how someone on Fox news said that Jindal is the Republicans' answer to Obama. Something like that.

I like how Obama emphasized that we should not torture...or we do not torture..I'll have to watch it again tomorrow, or read it. I was typing something for work, only caught some of it.

I was at work, and I'll have to watch it later on line.

With all of the hype for Jindal, I was surprised to see that even Fox News didn't seem too impressed by his speech.

Krauthammer rating Obama's speech making abilities as Reagan-esque is quite the compliment.

My favorite CNN/FB comment about it:

"Mr. Jindal's neighborhood — Would you be mine?"

I love having a great orator in the office of president.

Jindal - what has he done that's so great? I have to read up on him. But so far, I'm left less than impressed.

^^^^^ nobody? LOL

Seriously, he said that his mother was pregnant when his parents immigrated to this country meaning that he was conceived out of the country by non-Americans? If life begins at conception, is he really a natural-born American citizen? Should there be an investigation of his eligibility to run for president?

I first heard about him becuase his parents immigrated from India, IIRC, and it seemed to be big news to have a prominent brown Republican.

I beleive he also had the "secret Muslim" card played on him the way Obama did.

Ha!

Were the tables turned, you know it would happen.

And I'm not fond of that type of assumption in a political debate — it's such a tired and ineffective way to make one's point — but in this case, you just know it's true.

I didn't watch the speech, but I printed out the text and plan on reading it at lunch (forgot my book). I find reading it takes the "Geez, I really like him" factor out of it for me. I still like him when I read it, but it's easier for me to focus on the message and the policy when I read.

Hopefully Baja Fresh won't be too loud/crowded for me to focus and I'll be able to effectively comment on it. Whee!!

Anyone see Biden during the speech, it looked like he was texting under the table. He had both hands under the table and was looking down. It made me giggle. I can just imagine he's like "Honey, whenever Barack stops talking I'll be home for dinner".

I totally said that to my husband!

I think he was just reading the program, though.

Call me bad liberal, but I'm not a huge Pelosi fan.
