Default Frustrated

Just to bring everyone up to date, DH and I have been TTC for a year now. Last April I stopped taking BC. I read TCOYF and have been charting since last August. I had a miscarriage in September and don't think I have ovulated since then. This past month my sleep schedule has been very off, but I haven't been under a lot of stress. My morning temps were 96.9 for a few days then went up to like 97.3 and haven't gotten any lower than that. I was supposed to get my period last Thursday and never did, no spotting or anything. I took a PT last Friday afternoon (one day late) and it was negative. I took another one Monday afternoon (four days late) and that was negative too. I know you are supposed to take them first thing in the morning and I was planning on taking it Tuesday morning, but couldn't wait any longer. Now I'm trying to hold off taking another one until Saturday morning. I have no breast tenderness, no sickness, no nothing except for very very mild cramps throughout the day, but they leave quickly. I already have an appointment with my OBGYN on 4/12 (pre-conceiving counseling) and have been taking prescription Follic Acid for about a month and a half. I am overweight and I know that can effect ovulation. My period has never been this late ever. I'm just frustrated because I don't know what is going on. Any thoughts?

If you think you're not ovulating, then you definitely need to see a reproductive doctor. I don't know too many women who don't ovulate but who still have regular periods, so I'm at a loss as to explain that.

If it's any help to you, I'm overweight...always have been...and I had no trouble conceiving, so try not to blame everything on weight. Excess weight is often a consequence of things that also cause infertility, not the direct cause.

I wish you luck.

Thanks for the encouragement. When I see my doctor in a couple weeks I'm going to take my charts and see what she suggests. It's been bothering me that I'm not ovulating, but still have regular periods, well except for right now. It's a strange feeling to know something isn't right, but have no clue what is going on.

I don't have any suggestions, but wanted to wish you good luck. I hope you get some answers and are pregnant soon.
