My mom flew with my 5 month old brother on a 19-hour flight from Fort Worth, TX to Korea. And that was over 20 years ago. They both survived

I'd say yes. Just make sure to pack plenty of diapers, formula, and a few change of clothing. And make sure to have a changing pad or blanket to lay the baby on to change diapers. Be prepared for the possibility of the baby crying...you'll need to bounce, pat, and comfort.

It'd be a lot easier on a newborn than a mobile baby or older as long as you have everything you need. If it's a baby that loves car rides, it could be the easiest trip ever.

Um...is this a bus trip like the bus trip you took last year, which started out with a few people in a mini van and ended up with like 30 people packed in like sardines and hanging off the sides, going around scary mountain corners?

I'd try to avoid a 7 hour bus trip with a tiny baby if there was any alternative. That's a long time for a baby.

fortunately no. ive learned my lesson when traveling by minivan. weve decided to meet in Da Lat instead. i have to stay in Saigon and then my sister's in Bien Hoa for several days to officially invite them before i set off for the mountains.

I think it will be harder on you than on the baby, lol. We are leaving Saturday for a 12 hour drive with most of our kids. The youngest is 7 months. Not looking forward to it but we will survive.
