Here are two pictures of my girl belly. I thought I was carrying low.
A few weeks before my daughter was born.

Yes, M, I would have definitely thought you were carrying a boy by looking at that picture!!
Obviously that doesn't hold true for EVERYBODY. I mean, people ARE going to carry differently based on their body type and such - but for many people it does hold true.
It's like anything, you can find exceptions no matter what it is.

When I was 7 months pregnant w/ my first people would ask me if I was due any day now.  - They would also tell me that I looked like I was having twins, or that I must be carrying a 9lb baby. Again I say
For the record, she weighed 6lbs 2oz. Your body shape has everything to do with the way you look when you're pregnant.

I am so glad that you posted this! After seeing the tiny little belly pictures, I was beginning to think that I was a freak of nature with my belly!

I feel your pain. I am short to begin with (5'4"), so the baby only has one way to grow--OUT. But I am determined that if one more person says "Oh, you have THAT LONG left?" (I'm due the first week of April as well) that I will punch them in the face.
In addition, at my last ultrasound (5 months) the doctor reassuringly told me that my child had really long legs, and that it wouldn't surprise him if she came out 22 or 23 inches.

Thanks! Adorable is not the word that comes to my mind though! Beached whale...yes! Is it weird that I think other pregnant women are so cute and beautiful but when I see myself all huge, I just think , "WHOA! Who the hell is THAT?!"

I wish I had belly pics to post, but I don't have any on my actual camera. The only ones I have are a couple on my cell phone. Nobody took any pictures of me this time. Second baby syndrome.

I prob. wouldn't have been so into the belly picture thing, but I have been sending my husband the "belly update" so he doesn't go into total shock when he actually sees it for the first time!

I looked like you up until today. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden my stomach pushed WAY out. I looked at myself in the mirror and I was like ACK! I called my husband upstairs, and I'm like, look what happened! He said, whoa honey, when were you going to tell me?

Shellie, i carried pretty much just like you are, i swear S used my ribs as monkey bars for the last 1/2 of my pregnancy (well except he was head down!)
