Me too - give it time, it won't be that flabby forever - not after 1 kid anyway!

How much time does it realistically take for the stomach to look more like it did before pregnancy?

After my baby #1, my tummy never looked the way it did before baby. I did gain a LOT of weight, though.

sorry, I know this thread is probably real old but I don't come into this forum often.
Anyway, Amneris, I read your post and was wondering what you meant by the above comment?

curlyniner, you look fabulous!
I'll have to post a more recent picture sometime soon too. Looking back at my pics from 16 and 20 weeks I laugh at how I thought I was so big then.

I mean this totally in jest, but wait until you're at 39 weeks. Oof.

Or until you have another, and mistakenly look back at pictures from your first. Man, that was a bad idea. I'm already way bigger than I was when Katy was born (at 42 weeks).
20 week belly the first time = 10-12 week belly the second time, for me anyhow. That was really depressing!
I'll be excited to get back down to the size of some of the 12-16 week bellies posted earlier in this thread!

I meant that I was NOT happy about my belly getting bigger... but then I started to like it more.... and now I don't mind it that much, which I never thought I would say.

You all look great!!!
I miss my pregnant belly. I really do. My belly button looks like a deflated donut and my stomach has gotten darker. To use M2LR's words, oof!

clearly my response is going to be from a non-pregnant woman's POV but I just think the Baby bumps are so lovely. It almost seems weird to me to be concerned about "looking fat" when the whole experience is just so cool, (the whole creating life aspect of it not he morning sickness aspect )
but that's not to negate any such feelings. I guess what I'm saying is rock that baby bump!
Do you know the sex of the baby or do you want to be surprised?

I definitely take no offense - I was even going to post something about how in a couple months I'll probably be laughing at my pictures from now, because I think I'm so big now

Yeah, get on that, chop chop! I love seeing all the cute bellies!
It actually made me feel a lot better to post my picture. I've been feeling really huge, but I think that must be the effect from looking down at my belly. It doesn't look so big now that I see it from a 3rd person view.

I never lost those last 10lbs with my first, but by the time I got pregnant again (2 years) I think my belly looked like I would expect it to 10lbs overweight. I don't remember WHEN it tightened up though.
It would probably depend a lot on what your stomach looked like before. I never had a 'tight' stomach.

You look so petite!
I'll have to take one (I've been meaning to take weekly shots and haven't gotten around to it yet). I feel like I'm big in the whole abdomen area. The other night I was doing something and realized that my belly button is starting to get shallower!!!

OK, ok
Here's one from 28 weeks. I'll probably take another one next week at 32.
