I went to a high risk dr. this morning and I received some good news. I am 14 weeks and 3 days and my due date has been set for Dec. 17th. I will have a cerclage done this coming Monday, but I will not have to go on bedrest unless things start turning for the worse down the road. They said my cervix is looking great right now and the baby is nice and snug in there.
We also will be having...

I have read that gender can be determined as early as 12 weeks, but I don't know how true that is. I know that we have a local ultrasound place that you can pay for a guaranteed 4d gender determination starting at 15 weeks that a lot of people go to since our Army hospital will only do an ultrasound at 10 and then 20 weeks. I didn't even considered paying $100 because I knew that I will get at least one a week. We definitely saw genitals and they definitely looked different than a girl.

Congrats! I'm glad you're feeling good so far. How does Lily feel about having a little brother (if you've told her yet)?

WooHoo!!! Congrats!!! I bet hubby is excited
I also found out at 14 weeks that I was having a boy. It's not hard if the baby is in a good position.

Congrats on a healthy boy!! I'm so happy that your cervix is holding on and that your cerclage should be sufficient without BR.
We found out at 16 weeks with both of the last two. I would have sworn that the girl parts were boy parts if there hadn't been an expert there to tell me. They looked awfully similar at that point.

The girl baby is still a work in progress. She should be here sometime between any day now and end of August. She's an impatient sort.

We told her and she doesn't seem to get it right now. She just really doesn't care. She has been telling me that I have a baby in my stomach, but she is really more interested in our puppy right now.

Being completely honest, but we are both a little disappointed. We both wanted another little girl. We had a perfect and beautiful name picked out and we really haven't been able to agree on a boy name. We are letting the name thing rest for right now and will pick it back up later. I know that we will get over it and love our little boy just the same...

I just saw my belly move for the first time!! I have been feeling movement since 14 weeks, but I have been waiting for what feels like forever to be able to see the movement. I am sure that my husband wouldn't want me to wake him up at almost midnight, so I here.
Baby boy is doing great. My cervix is performing as it should this pregnancy which has been a huge weight lifted. I am now 21 weeks and I will hopefully be able to post a belly pic sometime this week. A certain puppy chewed my usb cable for my camera, so I am having to wait for a new one to get here.
ETA: He apparently likes Lionel Richie and Eric Clapton since he was going crazy last night while I was listening to them on my laptop.

Boys names are so much harder IMO. And girls are easier IMO. BUT boys are so fun to watch grow up.My boy is hatder but the rewards are so satisfying.
Glad to hear everything is going along great! Lilly will get on board

I have gotten over my disappointment now and started doing some shopping. Boy clothes are definitely harder to find since I am not into sports and stuff, but it's fun. I do still mourn the girl clothes, but that's not such a big deal.
I think one of the reasons that I was disappointed in the first place was because of the name. Bryan was set on this baby being a III and he has finally accepted that it isn't going to happen. He picked the wrong wife for that. We are going to sit down and talk about names this weekend when Lilly is with her grandparents. That has me really excited. We picked out two girl names that we both loved, so I know we can do a boy justice.
Lilly has been talking about her baby brother a lot. I have let her pick out a couple of sleepers for him and she gets to carry them to the register. I think it will excite her to see my belly move...if it doesn't freak her out.
