Stretch marks!!

Hi ladies!
I'm currently 31weeks pregnant and have a few visible purple stretch marks on either side of my belly. Where my love handles used to be. I've been using palmers cocoa butter products and earth mama angel baby stretch oil and lotion since early pregnancy. Everyone I've asked seems to rave about bio oil so I bought it and started using it today. Are there any other products that you recommend for preventing any more stretch marks from making their way to my belly?

Teri Laflesh's book "Curly Like Me" sits on my desk and everytime I get frustrated and an impulse tells me to shave my head, I look at it in hopes that one day my hair will graze the top of my butt.

I think the appearance and severity of stretch marks is genetically pre-determined so there is only so much you can do now. Keeping your skin very well hydrated (inside and out) can help. And you can also supplement your diet w/ zinc and apply zinc topically to your skin.

I think you have the best products to remove stretch marks. I also agree with SL. If you keep using the products, over time the marks will fade.

Shampoo: nonsulfate shampoo and Suave Naturals sulfate shampoo when needed
The only thing you can realky do to prevent stretchmarks is to choose your parents wisely. It's mostly genetic. Avoiding gaining an excessive amount of weight can help a bit too.
What RedCatWaves says... Unfortunately I have horrible genetics in this department...as my belly displays.

I say just embrace the marks of motherhood.
