Cute dresses for my toddler? *Updated with picture*

Easter is right around the corner and I have no idea where to look. Any ideas? I saw this at Gymboree.com, but I don't want to pay $50 for a dress my kiddo will wear only once.

I like the white ones and the white & turquoise one. Not sure how dressy it needs to be...

Geeky is my hero. She's the true badass. The badass who doesn't even need to be a badass. There aren't enough O's in cool to describe her.
Thanks.

Funny thing, last night I was lying in bed and remembered a dress my mom bought for my daughter while we were vacationing in the Dominican Republic this past summer. I looked in the closet this morning and voila! It looks a little like the $50 Gymboree dress I wanted to buy.

Now all I need to buy is a sweater for her to wear with it.
I actually saw a couple of cute sweaters at Target yesterday- I almost bought one for Maya but waited as they had pink and a soft white, and I haven't picked an Easter dress for her yet. I figured after our Chrsitmas dress fiasco, I'd better bring her along and let her pick her own dress. .

I bought her a beautiful dress from Gymboree (it was on sale). It was dark red, with a silk sleeveless top and a tulle bottom (she's actually wearing it in my avatar). Every time I tried to put it on her, she had a tantrum, complete with "I don't like it this dress", rolling on the floor, and screaming. I had to take it off of her Christmas Eve, she was so relentless.

She's opinionated, that daughter of mine. Does C let you pick her clothes?

My best friend has 7 yr-old and 5 year-old daughters and she says there's drama every morning before school. Can't wait.
Thanks.

Don't know how you feel about second hand but I've had great luck at our local thrift store. Our Christmas dress had tags on it still. KD has many gymboree and hanna anderson dresses that I did not pay top price for. If you find a good spot, you can make out like a bandit.

I found a beautiful Easter dress this year at Target and by the way, they have cute little sweaters for very little.

I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but every cotton article of baby clothing I've ever gotten at Target has shrunk like CRAZY when washed, even when I've sized up for my chubby baby. I've stopped buying stuff there because I keep having to take stuff back.
Hair type: Completely confused: mostly 3a, some 3b parts, and even 2 in places; very fine and thin.
Products: Elucence clarifying & MBC; CK, F/X Curl Booster Fixative Gel (when I can find it)
There are so many toddler dresses that I have been getting lately from TJ Maxx and Marshalls. The toddler clothes are overrun with cute dresses (probably for Easter), some fancy, some like the one you posted. There is a green and white one I'm eyeing from a TJ Maxx near me, but I can't justify buying it since I have nowhere to bring her in it, and she HATES wearing dresses.

i bought this one for our daughter (4) this weekend from target for easter. it's a pale yellow. very pretty.

in previous years, i've bought her easter dresses from old navy. i like the designs they have this year, but couldn't pass up this yellow dress!

i work too hard for my $$. she doesn't wear her easter dress one sunday out the year. after easter, her newest dress becomes rotated among her other dresses that she wears to church, out to dinner, or to other special occasions. we get our money's worth with her dressy dresses. and frankly, i don't consider $17 expensive at all compared to the money that some people drop for toddler's dresses.

Very pretty, rain. The Target near me had very little left, in terms of Easter dresses. I went last week.

I was very bad. I went to Marshalls yesterday on the recommendation of my friend. OMG! I've been hiding under a rock for the last 7 years! That place has such nice stuff! I bought two dresses. I will post pics later. I tell you, shopping for little girl clothes is so much fun.
I got like six really cute outfits (two bubbles, some dresses, and a few tops/bottoms) from Dillards today. I was like, Oh...department stores have clothes too! Not just baby stores! DUH.

www.woodensoldier.com and http://www.strasburgchildren.com have really pretty special occasion things but they can be kind of spendy.

ETA - etsy.com has some really neat pillowcase dresses (and some really not so neat ones, but there are some cute ones in like pink and brown and some toile) as well. Can't remember prices.
I like www.strasburgchildren.com too. That is where my flowergirl outfits came from. To cute!

You really can't tell how cute this outfit looked though by these pictures. Went great with my beachy theme... *sorry to Guano*

CGNYC--I *love* the dresses at Strasburg Children. Beautifully made. I'm going to bookmark them for christening outfits in the Fall.

Thanks!
