I don't know what possessed me, cause I am generally a "let it go" sort of person, but I went for my first ever brazilian wax when I was 8 months pregnant. I don't really recommend that.
Hee! My sister did a Brazilian shortly before her due date, and when she was in labor her OB - a man in his 30s - said, "Why do pregnant women wax? Pregnancy and childbirth aren't uncomfortable enough?"

I gotta agree with him. Seems almost masochistic to put oneself through that while 8 or 9 months pregnant.

I would just let it go. L&D personnel are used to seeing hair.

For me it's never been about feeling like I need to be clean shaven for the L&D people, it's the irritation and discomfort of it growing out. And frankly, I don't need any more irritation right now.

Gotta say...completely bald vulva, while popular among the younger set, isn't really mainstream. The L&D staff will probably have a pet name for such patients amongst themselves.

I'm more of a trim it person so when I got too big hubby would use his grooming clippers on a short comb for me. It was definitely interesting to find a position to do that in though. We almost laughed until we peed.

Once again, not too concerned on what the staff is thinking about my taco. Frankly, I'm sure they have plenty of jokes that they make about a lot of things that go on. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
