No Subtlety Here
I had been hoping to slip this into a thread all sneaky-like, a la Geeky , but this forum has been really quiet lately and no one has given me the *in* I needed. So here it is:
Baby Pickles #2 shall be arriving (approximately) the first week of May, 2008. And the gender balance in our house is definitely not tipping in the boys' favor, as it's another girl (like we didn't agonize enough over girl names the first time!). And in case anyone asks, this was "under discussion," but definitely unexpected, given that it took several years to get the first one. I waited so long to share because we had some unsettling test results early on. But the amnio results came back today and all is well. Though, honestly, anyone who knew me could have been able to guess just by looking at me since oh, about week 7. I know they say you show earlier with subsequent kids, but WOW! That it an understatement with me. |
Congratulations!

Yay! That's awesome news! I was suspi cious when you asked me about bouncy seat recs, but didn't want to pry.
What fabulous news. Girls are wonderful! :blob7: ETA weird spelling because of censor. |
Yeah! :toothy7:I'm glad everything turned out okay.

OMG, congratulations!
Everyone is starting round two (not me, this is not a hint or thunder stealing). |
Congratulations! I am so happy for you that everything went well with the amnio!

Congrats! :toothy7:

Thanks everyone! It still feels all a little bit surreal, but the timing actually is quite good, with the baby arriving right as the semester ends.

I confess that I am a little disappointed that we won't have a boy, but I had a *feeling* all along that it was another girl. Quote:
I had much worse morning sickness this time around that just would not go away. It's only in the last week or two that I'm doing okay. At least so far I am actually able to breathe- with Z, starting almost immediately, I literally couldn't walk more than a couple of steps on flat ground without getting seriously winded. |
Congrats, SP!:toothy7:

Um, not right now I'm not. I'm going to let SP go first again so she can do all the research (again). |

I keep thinking that the transition to two kids is sort of like the transition to two dogs - i.e. not that much more work than just having one. Yeah, I know. I'm in total denial :confused3: |
I don't think that I can say YAY!!! loud enough!!!
