Default I have to go back to work...

Hell Yeah!!!! Ok, I cut back my hours a little bit. But, I am soooo glad to get back to work. My husband wanted me to stay home and for a while I was going to but that got old real quick. And that is I even had my mom here for five months helping me with the baby, cooking and cleaning (but I have a maid every other week).

I love my baby but I will be a much better mom if I don't get stressed out about the crying, poopies, constantly needing to be held etc. And that is I even have a good baby who is pretty calm unless hungry. Heck, even my dad can entertain him for a few hours.

And no, I don't nurse. I did for a little while but it ended up not working out for other reasons. Although, I still nurse him a few times a day for comfort and bonding. No nipple confusion here.

The funny part is I like my job so much better now. At first I was so ready to quit. But, now I really appreciate my work and I don't have to drop out of the work force. Staying home is so much harder than going to work. Men have it so easy.

Who knows maybe at some point I will want to stay home full-time. But, not right now.

I totally understand what you're talking about. I love my children more than life itself, but I need that adult conversation that I get at work. And it really does make me a better mother, IMO, because I'm not frazzled and stressed. It takes work, planning, and forethought to be organized enough to make it work, but it's totally doable!

Good luck!
God doesn't give special kids to special parents. He takes ordinary, imperfect people, and gifts them with his greatest treasures. And therein, he creates special parents.

I hear ya. I went back to work after 6 months of maternity leave and I was so ready. I'll be doing the same thing again this time. I also feel that working makes me a better mother.
I kept nursing a fw times a day long after I stopped pumping, so if it's working for you, that's great.

I didn't realize you'd had a baby. When was he born?

I'll probably be going back to work, too.

This is my second day back and I feel like a new woman. I come home happy and delighted to see my Lucas and he gets out and sees different surroundings.

It's a win-win.
