Feeling baby move from the outside?
So DH and I are getting anxious for him to be able to feel the baby move too. Just curious when someone could put a hand on your tummy and feel some little kicks...

It really depends...mostly on position of the baby, but also placement of the placenta and, of course, any maternal fluff. You should definitely be able to feel movement externally by about 28 weeks, which is when most babies turn head down (and therefore the feet are kicking on the fundus (upper part of the uterus). You might feel it before then.
I used to love to lie against my husband full length. He would get the sensation of the baby kicking him in the belly.

The baby was actually head down at my last appointment, but of course he/she could have turned since then. Most of the movement I feel is pretty low, so who knows.

It was around 20 weeks or so if I recall - around when I had the big ultrasound. It will probably be soon for you. Definitely by the third trimester, my husband could not only feel him move, but he could see it - my whole stomach would shift!

Mine was around 20 weeks but he could only see, not feel, the baby moving for a while. For some reason, whenever DH put his hand on my belly the baby would stop moving. As soon as DH was gone, he'd start kickboxing again. My dog got kicked many times though! At first he was all offended and would stop cuddling with me, but eventually he just accepted that I have a crazy kicking belly.

I loved when my hubby finally got to feel the baby kick. I'd spoon him so that she would kick him in the back. I really love the end of the pregnancy, when you can distinguish hands, feet, etc. It's weird and looks like a little alien is living in there!

Timing is definitely difficult right now! Whenever I feel a particularly big movement and call him over, the baby stops. Last time we watched a movie together, he kept his hand on my tummy the whole time. The baby was really quiet until the very end, but DH still couldn't feel anything.
He still has fun talking to the baby occasionally though. I tell him one day he's going to get kicked in the face.

it is like a little alien!!!
i could never distinguish hands and feet and whatnot but after she was born i was like, "i totally recognize those knees!!" when she was a newborn and stayed folded up her knees just looked so familiar. instantly i could recognize the shape and size of them...

oh, how I miss feeling the baby move.
I think with my first it was about 6mos before my husband could feel her move, and by baby #3 he felt her by 20weeks?
sharing a fun video, she was my breech baby until 39w4d (when they flipped her in the right direction) She was head butting me apparently.

and about a minute in she runs her leg across my side

I recommend getting video of your moving belly, it's so much fun to look back on

Steven was stop moving with Mike came around too. Although towards the end, he became VERY active at night. Everynight from 4pm - 11pm he would move around and my stomach would look like it was going crazy. He stayed head down from 20 weeks on, but would flip back and forth. Aftyer he was born he had colic from 4pm - 11pm (ish) and even now, he is a night owl, staying up until 8 or 10pm (although on the flip side, he sleeps until atleast 8am and sleeps through the night)
DH felt one of the few kicks he got to when I was about 22 weeks, i was walking buy him, grabbed his hand and he felt the fluttering.

DH got to feel one extra-big kick last night!
We were sitting on the couch for a while in the evening, and I started to feel some movement, so I put his hand on my tummy. He didn't feel anything at first, but then the baby kicked extra hard just under his hand. He was really surprised!
It was a fun day b/c he also finally got to go see the midwife w/ me and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time.
