Kids say some crazy stuff!

My hubby and I were at the car dealership yesterday because someone totaled my car. My daughter was with us (she's 18 months). There was a fake ficus behind us in the cubicle area we were in. She loves to learn new words, so my husband tried to teach her ficus.

What came out, however, was f*** it! And of course, she was sooo pleased that she learned this new word that she shouted it repeatedly to anyone who would listen. I don't blush easily, but I could feel my cheeks get a little rosy...

Then, I was relating this story to my sister-in-law and friend, so of course, they were delighted to say, "Danae, say ficus!" Danae was so pleased that she was making everyone laugh, too...so funny!

Nice!
A closed mind is a wonderful thing to lose.

Awww! She was trying! (I would've been embarrassed too.)

Come to think of it, she's still leaving the "l" out of clock, too...my baby, the pottymouth!

for a long time, whenever Kade said the word frog, it sounded like f---. We thought he was actually saying it for a long time, and we kept telling him bad word, don't say that. Then one day he picked up a toy frog and says look a f---! It was a definitely a doh moment. We had to be sure to tell it to his teachers when he started school. Just to make sure he got no more reprimands for a mispronounced word

Hehehe. DH was getting Audrey dressed last night and told her that her pajamas smelled like p*ss (pee). Then she copied him and said "smell p*ss". I wasn't around when she learned this new word as I was grocery shopping. I got home and DH asked her to tell me what her pajamas smelled like and she said "smell p*ss, Mommy". Funny. But at least it isn't the worst word for her to pick up.
