Pixie and Iris - were you wearing nursing tops? I always have to throw a blanket over myself because I basically have to take my entire shirt off on the side I am nursing.

Yep! I bought a couple and I really like them.

Pixie's looks like she may be wearing a normal tank and she pulled the top below her breast on one side, but it's hard to tell for sure (so I should just let her answer haha).

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing in that pic

I find the easiest ways for me to nurse in public discreetly are....

-Any old top over a nursing bra tank.... just pull the top shirt up and release the cup on the side I'm nursing. The top shirt provides coverage from the top and the tank provides tummy coverage.

-Previous set-up over a nursing bra or any bra that can be pulled down easily... doesn't give tummy coverage but the breast still isn't revealed, and the baby covers most of my tummy anyway.

-If I'm wearing a low-cut and/or stretchy at the neck top, I'll just pull down from the top to nurse. This set-up reveals a little more from the top/side, so if I'm somewhere conservative I'll strategically hold a burpcloth to be a little more modest. I won't do a blanket though.

This is what I did too. Since we're getting into fall weather light jackets and hoodies over nursing tanks work well too. I lived in my nursing tanks during maternity leave and on weekends.

I do something similar. I wear a regular nursing bra and put a regular stretchy tank over it and then my regular shirt. I just pull the tank top down with my bra. It was a little cumbersome at first, but now I can do it all in one motion. Some days I skip the tank top depending on how loose my shirt is.

It's true that Lydia covers my tummy pretty well now, but she didn't cover anything as a newborn. Plus, I was a lot more self-concious about my tummy then.

Bumping this up with more pictures! Didn't know if I should post them here or the babywearing picture thread - nursing Solomon while wearing Abram.

Thanks ladies! Iris, I can't believe how big he is either. It's just sinking in with me that he's a "kid" and not a "baby".

Delma, that wrap is a Didymos indio. I got it on the swap board at thebabywearer.com.

Yeah lately he nurses in the craziest position. I swear the other night he was in downward facing dog while nursing.

I got one from the hospital. I had a gown that opened upfront so you can see baby nursing but it is not too graphic...I didn't planned, just came out that way.

That's a great picture, and you look great, especially for being in the hospital. You have such a pretty smile.
