Pixiecurl, that is hilarious! Oh my...I feel like I'm in a secret order! All the antics are cracking me up.
I have a nursling who will also say, "udda side" and proceed to transition. Here's another of our typicall exchanges:
She: Noke (her work for milk)
Me: Are you going to go to sleep?
She: Yes (and she proceeds to keep her eyes closed as she latches).
Now, she sometimes starts to sneak a peak, but will close her eyes immediately and kinda grin if I look at her. Crazy baby.
Ahhhh...these times are so fleeting. I'm so ready and so not ready to wean since she is my last baby--and not so baby at two.

...when your toddler expresses his desire to nurse by saying "Wanna nurse too" or "Wanna nurse other side" because he's so used to tandem nursing (he says this even when it's just him too though).
...when everytime you take out both breasts to tandem nurse, your learning-to-count toddler points and says "1, 2!"

When you're walking by the lingerie section at Target, and your older nursing runs up to a bra hanging at his level, puts his face in it, says "Mmmm," and gives it a kiss.

Kaia that is HILARIOUS!!!
I was just thinking about this thread yesterday. Solomon doesn't nurse in public much anymore and when he really needs to I try to find someplace private to do so. He rarely asks anyway, but every time we go to the pool at the YMCA on Sundays, he sees my cleavage in my bathing suit and wants to nurse. So when he asks, I take him out of the pool to the little shower-stall-area for privacy. Yesterday he had sort of slipped down the slide and went under the water and swallowed a bit of water and got pretty upset. He was crying and coughing and didn't seem to be able to ask, so he took me by the hand, led me out of the pool, and took me straight to the shower stall to nurse.

I'm laughing at your stories, Kaia and Pixie. I'm going to miss nursing my baby girl. I'm not really in a rush to stop, either.
I find it ironic that Maddie's word for milk is "mama." She just looks at me, signs the word milk, but says mama. I've corrected her plenty of times to no avail.

Medussa: That is funny! Nathan's word for milk is "na-na" which is also his word for himself, and anything that he wants, as in "give it to Na-na!!"

Theo (18 months) calls it Boot. I think he means boobs. He also prefers to do it at the dinner table.

When Soren wants to nurse, he calls it "nu-nu," short for nursie-nursie. One day I took off my bra and flung it on the couch, and later he brought it back to me telling me, "nu-nu."
I recently hurt my shoulder so my movement is limited. When he nurses, instead of me flipping him around for the other side, he'll stand up and rotate himself. And at night he'll put his paci in my hand because we kept losing it in the dark.

Aw, this thread is bittersweet for me.... JJ self-weaned about a month and a half ago, completely on his own, when he was just about 3. Literally one day he was nursing, and the next day, he started to and then stopped and looked at me and said "Mama, I too big now." I offered again and he said "No Mama." Then he put his hand on my face and said "I love chi-chi. I love to drink it. Thank you." I offered a few more times just to make sure but no, he was done. Sometimes he'll ask to see my breasts and he'll kiss them and say "thank you" and pretend he's drinking, but he never does.
Right after that, I got pregnant, so no time to really be sad....

...when your tandem nurslings high-five while nursing at the same time.
I felt like such a piece of meat

Last night, Nate pops off and smacks his lips, grinning. I ask him, "Is it yummy?" And he nods vigorously and dives back in.
As of today, he has officially nursed longer than Harry. It's gone so fast, though.

When your toddler unlatches, looks up at you, and says, "Moo!"

lol That's so funny and cute! I plan to breastfeed but that's why the breast pump will be one of my best friends. lol. By the time they're old enough, I plan on having them fully on the bottle with breastmilk of course lol.
