How do you know if your hair doesn't like a certain type of protein or if its just that your hair doesn't need protein at that moment? I tried a product that has wheat amino acids as its 3rd ingredient and my hair become dry. does that mean my hair did not like the protein or it just didn't need any protein
Could have been something else in the product entirely. Amino acids are smaller than hydrolyzed proteins, but they do "stick" to your hair and so it's possible that they're making your hair feel dry.
If they were in a conditioner or a product with plenty of emollients (oils, cetyl alcohol etc.), then your hair may have been feeling dry because of amino acids. Otherwise, it could have been a different ingredient.
