My current favorite is Ion Reconstructor from Sally's. It does have a light/moderate fragrance but I don't find it to be too strong or unpleasant. It's not a super heavy-duty PT, but I really like it and it is CG for those following that method.

Thank you! I don't mind fragrance just as long as it doesn't smell like something that requires bleach to be cleaned up *looking at you aphogee* I'll definitely try that.

PT recipe - as promised
If your looking for something inexpensive and easy to get a hold of I personally prefer egg yolks, kraft mayo and good old evoo that I mix up in my kitchen. Nothing I have purchased from the store has compared to the results I have gotten to my kitchen concoction and my hair has never been healthier, stronger nor have I seen this little breakage or shed hairs (knock on wood).

For my deep treatment after I use Suave Almond & Shea Butter condish w/coconut oil added, cover w/a processing cap and sit under the hooded dryer for 35 mins and I'm good to go!

I love cheap and easily accessible. I don't like a lot of drama w/my hair especially when it's not necessary!
Hair Type: A head full of THICK, normal porosity curls/coils that I am TOTALLY in LUV with!
(Transitioned for 16 & 1/2 months)

Loving: MC LI Condish, Raw shea butter, Coconut & Grapeseed Oil, SM raw shea butter shampoo,HEHH Conditioner, Braggs ACV & Egg, Mayo & EVOO PT's

I don't really DT. I just use my rinse out. If I want some extra moisture, I mix in honey and maybe a few oils.

Does whey protein powder work?
Like the one you add to smoothies, before work outs, and muscles added to conditioner or oil. I have MRM whey protein powder and I was wondering if I use it on my hair to give it some muscles.

I recently found this product at Sally's called 100% all natural protein. It's in a white bottle. I was using Aphogee, but this was a lot cheaper. It smells worse than Aphogee, though. I mix it in some protein powder to make a paste and apply it to my hair. Then I dry it until it's hard and then rinse out. I follow up with Shea Moisture conditioning masque that I also dry in. My hair has never been better! I was losing so much hair each time I comes and after one treatment, that stopped.
