what is my hair telling me?????

I did a strand test in the shower the other day and my hair stretched ALOT but never broke. The area that was stretched was really curly when I quit pulling on it.

So does this mean I need protein?

I'm kinda nervous of putting a treatment on my hair tomorrow because I'm getting my hair colored later in the week and I don't want to have a horrible mess when I go to my hairdresser.

Oh and this also....at one point I was using GF triple nutrition (protein free) and thought my hair loved it, but after a couple of weeks, my hair got mushy feeling, so I figured my hair needed the protein and switched back to my VO5 MM and I no longer have the mushy feeling.

Thanks y'all....

Yup, you definitely need protein. That's why your hair felt mushy. By the way, protein treatments prior to coloring tend to make the color stay better, plus it protects your hair from enduring as much damage.
