To PT or not?
I got a question for all of you protein gurus out there. I am transitioning and the 5 in of new growth I have is dry and i'm starting to get breakage along the line of demarcation. The bottom half of my hair is OC'd. It's limp and the curls don't stay together in their groups. The bottom half is also heat damaged so bad in some places it's pin straight. The question is should I do a full on PT and risk drying out the new growth more or should I just leave it? I do have a fair amount of products with protein in them that I have been using on a regular basis but it seems the ends need something stronger. My hair is mostly fine with a few coarse patches thrown in around the hairline with what seems to be a high porosity on the bottom half and the new growth is closer to normal porosity. Any suggestions would be welcome. TIA.
