I am trying to find conditioners that contains protien yet silicone free.

I have been looking, but Google was not very useful.

Also looked through stores, and it's the usual brands - Garnier, Tressemme, Pantene, Loreal... though I did not look at every single brand yet.

I looked through the forums too, but didn't find answers.

Only thing I was able to find is Suave's Naturals Coconut Conditioner.

I wanted to know if there are other products instead of just Suave?

I just want to explore options in case Suave isn't to my liking.

I am Canadian so some stores might not be available like Target ( Coming here in Spring 2013 though ).

Stores I have here:

Wal Mart
Shopper's Drug Mart
London Drugs
Save On Foods
Superstore
Salons?

I cannot order online either.

If you have ideas, thanks for the help!

If you can locate it, Renpure Organics has a Keratin Conditioner that works well. I know one of the women on the FB Wavy Hair Community lives in Canada and she found the new Renpure stuff about 2 months ago.

Another option if you have a Sally's nearby is ION Effective Care.

Ah thanks, I'll keep an eye out for Renpure.

I also remembered another store, London Drugs, and saw they had Nature's Gate... I believe Renpure is there too by looks of their website.

Hopefully I'll make a trip to the city soon for it since I don't think I'll find Renpure here.

Sallys... maybe.
SheaMoisture's Coconut and Hibiscus products have silk protein in them.

2c, fine, extremely dense, color-treated, high porosity.

My hair is protein craving and I use Garnier fructose triple nutrition co. Also, coconut oil helps hold in proteins (beware though--it's comedogenic). Alba (found at target) makes a creamy leave in conditioner. Renpure makes a conditioner in a green tube...i think it's called Miracle something...I tried it a while ago and liked it, but never returned to it for no reason. it's full of proteins though. AGEbeautiful has a great protein filled shampoo.

Tip: don't just get your proteins in a conditioner. Look for them in other hair products too, like shampoos, leave in's and gels.
Low/Med porosity, very fine, low/med elasticity & density, 3A
AKA hard to work with hair!

Low-Poo: Kenra Volumizing shampoo, AG Fast Food shampoo

Wishlist: YTC low-poo, Elucence poo, Bioterra Curl Creme, AGEbeautiful Strengthening trtment, SS Repairing Protein Trtment, LuxyHair ext's
I love love love the Nature's Gate Biotin conditioner
Some of the CURLS products contain hydrolysed protein, IIRC the Milkshake does. The line is available in Target and Walmart in the US, no idea about Canada. Otherwise you could add a little dissolved gelatin to a conditioner, would only make small batches for hygiene tho.
Samanthascurlz and wavydaze like this.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
Try Giovanni hair products. They are cheap (under $10) and based on the list of stores provided, available at Walmart. CurlyCowgirly made a great point when saying to look for proteins in all products, not just conditioners. Try almond oilů it is moisturizing and contains thirty grams of protein.

Interesting to see this, for I posted a thread about this V05 conditioner: Kiwi Lime Squeeze which contains hydrolyzed collagen (protein). The only issue is I do not know if the other ingredients counter-react with the protein to make it less effective (if that makes sense, which it probably sounds stupid). But, if you want to try it, you can't beat V05 prices and it has a specific protein in there. I have been using it as a RO and I like it so far. I was needing protein very bad, so doing a PT and using this V05 conditioner, I am understanding the difference of what my hair needed.
High Porosity, Fine, Thin Density, Low Elasticity
Co-wash, leave in, and gel: Alba botanica coconut cond., ogx mousse, &/or super wet look gel.
Curls
SheaMoisture Coconut Hibiscus line has protein.
Giovanni Smooth as Silk can be protein packed as well
Nature's Gate condishes have some protein as well.

Do they have Sally in Canada?

I would really look into doing the gelatin PT, even 2x a week if you need to.
2BC/f/II. fine - low/normal porosity - medium density - normal elasticity.

Organix products and tresemme rituals cream something lol
I am protein sensitive but I NEED to use protein at least 2x a week for balance. I have been looking for a protein rich yet silicone free conditioner. I had an old bottle of CHS Silk Protein leave in and have been using that and loving it but I ran out and I don't want to spend a lot of money or have to order stuff. I bought Suave Coconut shampoo (thinking I picked up the CONDITIONER) and will use it once a week (I am not CG, so while I do NOT want silicones/anything that can't be easily rinsed out, I don't mind using regular shampoo 2 or 3 times a week).

I think I will go back and get either the Giovanni Smooth as Silk or the Suave Coconut Conditioner - I use them as a rinse out and a leave in. I was so pissed yesterday looking at ingredients and seeing cones in EVERYTHING!
HG's:
Gel: BRHG mixed with Aura Naturalle Gel or B&A Gel
LI: GVP Conditioning Balm or Giovanni Smooth as Silk,
Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (as a DC, before and after dying grays, and like a serum on dry hair)

Method: Air dry 20 minutes, then blow dry for volume.

2/3 mix waves/curls - coarse, frizz prone, med. thick, porous, at-home color for gray, protein sensitive but I still need it sometimes, glycerin-sensitive (I think) in high humidity, mod-CG routine.
I'm pretty sure the vo5 mm strawberries and cream has protein in it. I picked some up the other day and remember reading that, but I ended up getting a different kind. Bonus, it's .84 at my Walmart.
