Default Is protein cg friendly?

If i am trying out the cg method, can I do a protein treatment to try to strengthen my hair? Or will I need sulfates to get it out? I bleach my hair, and I want to make it less prone to breakage. I have been working on doing DT with evoo, honey and cocounut oil but I want to do anything i can to strengthen the already damaged hair so that i can retain length.
Are there any drugstore protein treatments?

Yes, protein is CG friendly. It's just that some people's hair reacts badly on protein, but there are also a lot of people who have protein-loving hair, like me.

I don't know about any drugsture protein treatments.

Default fermented protein

a science hair blog I went to talked about using a dark beer rinse. the proteins in beer are fermented, therefore smaller chains that actually fit in the 'gaps' in your outer hair and not layered on top, so the finish is way better.
basically, wash rinse then squirt through dark beer, scrunch and let dry. I tried it that way, great result. I now do a beer/water rinse as I can only go 2 days then need to wash--thyroid issues.
the beer smell disappears completely when dry, I asked Everyone I saw the first time I did it. be careful not to drip it on your shirt!

You can make your own protein treatment. Or if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply they have some cg treatments.

PT recipe - as promised
