Canadians! New (?) President's Choice Conditioner!

Hey everyone,

I am just getting back into the CG routine after having fallen off the routine for many months. I was at the grocery store scoping out the Suave conditioners (sadly, they had a terrible selection) when I noticed that President's Choice had a new line of hair products.

I picked up the Hydrating formula and I am so excited by the ingredients which include no sulfates or silicones but lots and lots of protein: hair keratin amino acids, alanine, proline, serine, threonine, arginine, lysine...

Has anyone else tried this? I used it today and I'm still waiting for my hair to dry, so I'm not sure how my hair reacted, but nothing negative to say yet.

PC products are sold at Loblaw's company stores in case you're not familiar.

Update: My hair is now dry and it looks amazing! I SOTC and it's so shiny, so defined, smells great. I will definitely be stocking up on this conditioner when it's on sale!

Hey, I haven't tried this conditioner, but I am very curious now. What are your hair properties? Do you find it's a light or heavy conditioner?

It's nice to have an active fellow Canadian here :D Just out of curiosity, have you tried any of the Live Clean conditioners? And... have you seen the No Name shampoo and conditioner? I'm not sure if the ingredients are CG friendly, but when I saw the big yellow bottles I was like "yeah.... who would EVER buy this?!" lol I don't know though, sometimes things like that can surprise you, like the PC brand.

The PC conditioner is the thinnest consistency I've ever seen in my life. It's more like a hair milk than a conditioner. But when I tried using it as a CO it just sank right into my hair so I might just stick with it as a RO despite it's lightness.

Haven't seen the No Name stuff... hilarious. I probably wouldn't buy it...

And as for Live Clean, I haven't tried it, but I think I remember someone saying that it's got silicones in it?

I *think* my hair properties are:

- think hair
- lots of it
- medium/high porosity
- Mostly 2C with a bit of 2B/3A thrown in for good measure

I'm playing around with proteins to see if I can make it look better.

can you give the full name on the product? I can't seem to find anything online about this product? I must not be looking for the right thing.

Live Clean is CG friendly across the board.

I haven't tried the PC stuff, but it sounds interesting!

Ondulee, there is nothing online... I've looked as well.

It's President's Choice brand conditioner in a tall pale ivory/cream bottle with a maroon/purple curl on it. The writing is on a maroon/purple strip and says "Hydrating" on it. That's all there is to it. There are other "flavours" as well but I don't remember what they were called. Got it for $4.79.

I have type 4 hair and absolutely love this conditioner. It is thin but I use it as a co wash, haven't tried it as a leave in.
