What is the best way to use Hydrolyzed Keratin?

I learned that my hair is really protein craving, it stretches and stretches like elastic, although I've been doing a weekly PT with Hydrolyzed Keratin.

I mix 20 ml water + 10 ml keratin and spray it in my clean washed hair (I low poo). Leave it for 10 min then apply a hair mask (Deva Curl Heaven in Hair), leave it for another 20 min and then rinse it all out.

Is this the best way of doing it? It just doesn't seem to be working... I know I can use only the keratin and then blow dry my hair, but I just don't want to blow fry! Help me!!!
See the recipes of Sciencey Hairblog for gelatin (hydrolysed collagen). There should be plenty of overlap: the author has research effect of pH, temperature and time.

Blow drying isn't harmful if done occasionally and done right, the warmth actually increases bonding and penetration. You don't keep the hot tool concentrated on one spot, don't use a brush, don't need to go to bone dry. Can use a diffuser or hood.

2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
My hair didn't like the gelatin PT, but it loves Keratin.

I like the idea of using a diffuser! I'm gonna try it, cause I don't think blow drying once a week is a good idea... And I need a weekly PT.
Just sub keratin for gelatin in the recipe.

I see two possible problems. 1. Your keratin-water ratio may be too weak. 2. You're undoing what the PT is doing with the Heaven in Hair. Not everyone needs to DT after a PT. Many fine-haired curlies do not. I never DT after a PT.

I agree wavydaze, I also do not DT after a PT. I have fine hair as well.

I third what wavydazy says. A PT is enough for my fine, low-porosity hair. I don't need a DT afterwards either. In fact-- DTing after my PT undoes what my PT did for my hair, so that might indeed be where your problem lies.

I've never done this myself, but if you insist on your DT, you can even swap your routine around and do the DT first to see if that makes a difference?
