KCCC and KCKT

I've ordered these KCCC and KCKT online and have not received yet...I have some questions...

My questions are:

If you have used them, How do they work for you?

Do you use them together or seperately with other products?

What other products do you find they work well with?

Thanks!

On Curlmart, it says they are protein free... so thought I would give them a try!

KCCC was one of the first products I bought when going CG (or at least mod-CG) because everyone raved about it! I used it a lot with BRHG (had to emulsify the two because BRHG is sort of sticky and producty). Then I stopped doing my hair over winter/spring and just recently started back up about a month ago.

I liked the KCCC+BRHG combo a lot but haven't tried it recently. KCKT is a leave-in so I haven't tried it since I have oodles of the BellaCurl stuff still!

I remember trying KCCC+LALSG and they did not do anything for me but that's probably because my hair didn't like LALSG!
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: CJ Beauticurls, CJ A&OO, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: Mop C, KCCC, SCE FSG
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

I didn't get fantastic results using KCCC and KCKT together. I stopped using KCCC when I realized I didn't really need curl enhancing. However, KCCC+BRHG gives me great curls like nothing else. Except not great in summer heat/humidity yet for me because hair feels too producty.

I use KCCC with BRHG or MGA sculpting gel. I use KCKT as a leave-in with anything but I prefer to use it when I haven't CO washed (water only).
Location: Texas
Type: 3b/3c (i), below shoulder length.
CO wash: A-O GPB LYY, Salon Care Honey Almond, Devacurl OC, Acure Argan Stem Cell+Argan Oil, Mill Creek Botanicals Keratin Repair
Leave-ins: BWC, KCKT, cno overnight
Styling: BRHG, MGA Sculpting Gel, A-O Mandarin Magic Gel, LOTD AVG, LALSG
DT: Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak, Curl Junkie Deep Fix, Briogeo Don't Despair Repair!
I have tried Kinky Curly Custard 3 times over the course of the last 5 years....i tried it again most recently 2 months ago and it's okay, but really sticky. like really. You can't use much of it at all. If you use it in conjuction with the Knot Today, and not much of it, I think you'll be fine. It smells good and does enhance your curls. It does nothing to combat humidity, though and offers little to no hold.
Oh boy, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time for this to arrive in the mail....

Nervous because I tend to be heavy handed with product! eek! and after reading all the comments and watching all the Youtubes it seems you have to find just the right amount! I don't want to end up looking like a Gherri Curl! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Keep your fingers and toes crossed I don't!

What is a good holding gel to use with it? Just BRHG? I've never used that? Is there protein in that?

KCCC over KCKT is my HG combo. I get the best results ever with those 2 products.
KCCC is sticky when you touch it, but it's not sticky anymore when I put it in my hair. It defines my curl wonderfully and for me, enhance them.
Contrary to a lot of curlies, I use "a lot" of KCCC - more than the amount I use with other styling products. It's strange because my hair gets weight down quite usually normally but not with KCCC.
It dries really crunchy (maybe I use too much), but it's easy to SCTC when hair is dries and you'r left with soft bouncy curls.

When i over use KCCC i can litterally roll the product out of my hair with my fingers...like glue! In fact, I think marshmallow is one of the ingredients in KCCC, so I'm not playing when I say that mess can get sticky. Olive oil Ecoystler gives great hold. I bought a tub of that stuff from the beauty supply store for like 3 bucks, no lie...great hold, but a little stiff for my taste.

The products together were too heavy for my hair and my hair felt like I had product in it. Also, I didn't need my curls defined as my curls are already defined. It made my curls really tight. My natural curls are loose. I just needed something to keep down the frizz. Maybe I just never found out the right amount to use for my hair.

I like Darcy Botanicals products. She has a gel called Natural Coils Curling Jelly that I have used and you only need a little and I like it. Qhemet Biologics has a Honey Bush Tea Soft gel as it is lightweight and doesn't leave my hair crunchy and my curls look nice. I also like Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic. I haven't had a chance to use it all over my hair yet. I just tested it on some of my hair and it light and nice on the hair.

I don't know if I am protein sensitive or not but I think these are all protein free.

With KCCC and Knot Today you will probably just have to find the right amount.
