Am I sensitive to protein?

Ok, so 2 days ago I did a homeade protien treatment with eggs and mayonaise and a little bit of olive oil, then left it on for 1 hour before rinsing it out. I washed my hair with a sulfate free shampoo, put on conditioner for about 3 minutes, then rinsed that out. My hair felt very knotty and rough when it was wet, almost straw-like. Then, I just let my hair air dry with no products and it was very hard, but it never totally dried. It was really stingy and pieces of my hair would not totally dry, like there was still a tiny amount of moisture in them and they never did dry. Does this mean I have a sensitivity to protein? Because now, after 2 days and 2 more showers, my hair still feels the same way. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!

1. You didn't leave your conditioner on long enough....3 mins. isn't going to counteract a strong protein treatment like that. I would have left it in at least a half hour, probably closer to an hour. Try just a moisturizing treatment for a longer time and see if that helps.

2. Maybe your conditioner has some protein in it as well....make sure there aren't any in there hiding. Some good moisture only condishes are Biolage conditioning balm, Curl Junkie Curl Rehab, and Spiral Solutions deeply decadent, as well as JC weekly deep treatment.
