Aphogee overdose! ...I think

Soo... This is my first post here and is for asking for HELP!!!

My hair tipe I think it is between 3b and 3c, usually I straight it with a lot of care (I do some olive oil before watchin, I use rollers for drying before of the straightener) and my hair WAS quite healthy. No split ends, minimun break, my curls were defing and elastic...

But a week ago I used the Aphogee 2 minutes protein as directed, and when I was ready to style I felt my hair really dry and rough to the touch... I did my rollers and they dry faster than usually and then I proceed with the Straightener and stared to notice small pieces of broken hair and feeling it dry... the whole week was like this.

Yesterday, I washed my hair, and I saw that the curls are not like before!!!... I would say that they kind off look like curls of relaxed hair

They are not so spiral form as before, right now they are mostly waves with some straight parts and keep breaking the ends....

I need heeeeeeeeeeeelp! I had no idea that the protein was such a complex subject for hair .... What can I do to reverse the damage... I DONT WANT TO CUT IT

Thank you in advance and sorry for my english, is not my native language
Usually, we follow protein with a deep treatment. If you don't have a deep treatment do you have a very rich conditioner? Put gobs of it on and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then rinse out but leave a little in.

Curlisto makes a deep treatment that only takes 3 minutes and then I follow that with a good conditioner.

I'm sorry you are having this problem and I hope it gets better. Please let us know!
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
Thank you for your answer!

That night when I did it I used a deep conditioner, but after, I read It has animal protein..

But well, yesterday I did a pre shampoo with olive oil and coconut milk and when under the drier, then I whashed them with a SLS shampoo (but just one wash) because I head that takes part of the protein no? .... after that I used a butter treatment from the Body SHop (this one http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb...prdcode=85033m)... And when under the the dryer with a cap.

I took out some of the this with could filtered water and rinsed with vinager and water....

After that I felt my hair loot softer and the curls are now in a better shape... but in some places they are still not so cute as before.

But well.. after that I rollerset with some deep condition from Les Katires and the ends with a mix of shea butter and Argan oil..

I was really glad to see that my hair was reaaalllyyy soft and hardly see any breakeage ... I didnt straight it and so far My hair keeps soft.

But Im still worried about the shape of my curls... before I used to pull them and they were back in spiral... now I pull them and have a ramdom shape... like a mix of wave and curl.

Do you that if I keep with a regimen like this my hair will be as before =/ ??

Try doing making a very moisturizing deep conditioner.
You can make one at home using
banana (blend very well in an electric blender otherwise you'll get banana chunks stuch in your hair),
honey
olive oil
aloe vera gel
aloe vera juice
avocado oil
shea butter
and any other moisturizing ingredients you have.
Saturate your hair with the DC and put on a plastic cap. Leave it on for about two hours and wash out with water only.
You can also try ACV rinses, I've read that can help bring back curls.

Coconut milk has some protein in it, so you might want to avoid that.

Could you list the ingredients in the aphogee treatment which you used ?

After Brazilian keratin or after liquid keratin one has to diligently avoid shampoos with sodium chloride (i.e. table salt), as it strips the keratin treatment from the hair. Even swimming in the ocean ruins keratin treatments. A few folks have had luck purposefully removing their BKT by scrubbing their hair with salt. Maybe add a fair amount of table salt to the shampoo and see if this works?
Thanks a lot for the answers!!

I will try your recipe taltal, I just need to buy some bananas and aloe vera gel.

Today I used a pre-shampoo with honey and olive oil, and then washing with Palmers coconut oil shampoo, and then a treatment from Garnier with shea butter and avocado. And rinse with ACV.... The results were very nice while wet... but then again the curl pattern was not so nice.... I guess I cannot expect changes from one day to another =/

The ingredients of the Aphogee two step protein treatment that I used are:
Hydrolyzed Collagen, water, citric acid, demethylol urea, magnesium sulfate, ethylene urea, hydrolyzed vegetable protein PG- Propyl Silanetriol, trimethysiloxyamodimethicone, mauritia flexuosa fruit oil, panthenol, phytantriol, tocopheryl acetate, glycerin, cocomidopropyl betaine, fragance, magnesium carbonate, diethylene glycol, trideceth 12, pareth, DMDM hydantoin, linanool.
My hair is almost back to normal.I just did like 5 shampoos with SLS and deep condition. The curls are back, my hair is more shiny but im still having a little of breakage so I guess I will Trim my ends..

No more aphogee for me! .... Before I have done proteines with Salerm, Sebastian and others, but I guess Aphogee is too much ... Be aware ladies.

The Two-Step is very strong. I have some because I used it when I was relaxed but I wouldn't dare use it now that I'm natural. It's really for chemically treated hair. It's gets extremely hard where you can't comb it. And you HAVE to buy a second Aphogee moisture balance product is you use it.
I used a conditioner from the health food store didn't really read the ingredients but there was keratin in it. I lost all my curl I feel sick about so upset. Someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a frizzy fluffy thing. I'm afraid to use anything, and recommendations for protien free deep treatment.
That happens to me all the time. I get my routine right and someone gives me a product and it has hidden proteins (like botanicals) and my beautiful hair is a frizzy mess. Keep away from protein for a while that is all I can say. Read my signature all products have no protein except the Suave Coconut, that has silk protein.

Hold on...this will pass just keep the protein away for a while.
