I don't know about the smoothie, but the milk has silk protein in it.

Default Coconut Binds to the Protein in Hair

I purchased the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Style Conditioning Milk, and the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Shine and Hold Mist. They left my hair feeling dry, crunchy and crispy. Mt hair doesn't seem to respond well to coconut.
Your hair is your most important accessory.
