Default Elucence MBC: protein in it?

I am trying to figure out whether I have a protein sensitivity or not. I ordered a bunch of Elucence MBC as I loved how it instantly softened my hair. Now, though after I put it in my hair as a rinse-out it doesn't seem like it's soaking in anymore. It feels like one of the ickier drugstore CO's that just sit on the hair and tonight was the worse as I rinsed it out and my hair still felt like I never conditioned it at all. I hope it's not the MBC, or a protein issue as protein seems to be in nearly EVERYTHING that I have. I have too many products already and don't want to spend another dime on my hair right now.

Hair was really bad tonight, rough and dry after rinse-out. I had been using Aveda Confixor for the past two days and that has protein in it for sure. Aveda loves their protein.

Any thoughts on this?

Shampoo: Elucence, clarify with sulfates 1x per month
Conditioner: Elucence MBC,

I can't go totally CG as it weighs my hair down FAST. Hard water.
Bad haircut finally starting to grow out and look normal again!

I'm not familiar with the products you are using, but the simple truth is, it either works for you or it does not.

I can tolerate very little protein. All of the products in my signature do not contain protein except the suave coconut condish.

All the products that everyone raved about on here were not good for me because of the protein.

Regards

The Brewers Yeast is a protein. The product description in Curl Mart calls EMBC a high protein conditioner.

Thanks for the reply! I am just on the tip of the iceberg of figuring out what works and what doesn't. I never read ingredients until going sort of modified CG and that was fairly recent. My hair has been really troublesome for me, so I'm trying to isolate the culprit. Most of what I've learned has been from reading other people's posts, but everyone has different hair so it's still kind of hard to say...

Thanks so much! I wasn't looking for protein specifically in the ingredients when I ordered the MBC, mainly looking for cones so I guess that's why I missed it. I wonder now if that's the problem. Also, thanks for the info on Brewer's Yeast. I have soooo much left to learn.

I guess at this point I can look for a good conditioner without proteins to see if it makes a difference!
