Hey everybody.
I've been having a dilemma about protein these days. After figuring out my hair properties (elasticity, porosity, texture) I have come to the conclusion that my hair should NOT like protein. It is okay once in awhile but doesn't really need it; and it can leave my hair "dry", stringy, wiry, etc. So then, if I have low porosity, medium-coarse hair, and low to normal elasticity, does my hair seem to LOVE protein?! Most of my products have protein in them (although relatively low on the ingredient list) except for Samy Get Curls. I've been using the products listed below (except for Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut, that I started yesterday 4-2-11) for two months, probably a little more than two months. I have not had problems with them yet. Does this mean I will eventually and just haven't gotten there yet? Or is it because of my low/normal elasticity that my hair likes protein? Perhaps also since my hair isn't very coarse???

Thank you to anybody who reads this and replies! I know how hard these situations are but any ideas will help! And if you seem to have the same situation as me let me know too! It would be nice to know my hair wasn't the only one!

Spritz: AVG + LI w/water - 2/3 day hair

Treatments:
Conditioning: EVOO *started using on 8/14/11 on dry hair overnight, its looking good!*
Protein: homemade
Love: TTO, plop, pineapple
