Default Coconut Oil

From what I've read, coconut oil prevents hair from losing protein.

I have stopped using it on my hair. I use it on my skin and love it there.

I don't think protein sensitivity means you need to stay away from coconut oil. Coconut oil doesn't add protein to your hair, it just helps to not lose the protein you already have, which is important. Hair needs protein to stay healthy and keep its structure, even coarse or medium-coarse hair.

I've been reading a lot about hydral fatigue lately, and how repeated exposure to water can strip proteins from your hair. If coconut oil helps your hair to feel soft and moisturized (as it does mine) while also helping your hair to hang onto protein so you don't have to do frequent PT's, then I think it's a good thing.
