Stickies needed in Protein Sensitive forum

Hello everyone,

I did a quick sweep through many of the posts in here and it seems that there are (at least) two popular topics:

1. How to tell if you are protein sensitive.
2. Which products are protein free.

It would be great if a sticky was created for both topics, so that newbies - like myself - can go to a central location to get there questions answered. I say that because there are several posts that have been started on these two topics that no one has responded to.

Perhaps a hair expert could lead those two stickies...?

Agreed! I have been combing through old threads trying to gather "protein sensitive" traits so I can diagnose my hair issues.

I hope someone will respond soon that is familiar with protein and how it response to your hair types...

I think I am protein sensitive but I don't know... My hair is thin but I have a lot of hair... If that makes sense... 3c hair type!

coconut oil can only applied on wet hair(me: 3c thin and lotsa hair i got you). this I have learned the hard way. There are curl geniuses on this forum and I am not one of them...but I have been speed reading thru old threads. The search option is not to be ignored. Shea Moisture is a great product and I think that it shouldn't be used everyday, but again, that's just my hair..When I started to use it maybe once to twice a week and incorporated other products THEN the dryness subsided and hair was happy. The thing is, I'm using "bad" products...no sulphates but some have silicones, parabens, lanolin...and so i have to wash those out once a week with a low poo.
Balance.
