I wonder

if my hair is protein sensitive or just .. over porous?

My hair does not react well to products that are heavy and oily. I have tried Miss Jessies weekly treatment and Carol's daughter and no success. My hair becomes dry and almost spongy. It reacts as if it gets really really dry, straw like.

Any one else with this same problem?

3 c hair - very fine.
3b/C with nicer curls on the bottom!
Hair: naturally very dry and VERY porous
hair seems to be moody.
Does not seem to like oils
Does not like protein or too much?
Does not like rich products

So, I ask myself. What does it like? That is the question, and I'm on a mission.
If your hair does not like heavy oils do not use them. I do not think that it is an indication of protein sensitivity.

Regarding protein sensitivity, discontinue use of it and see if there is improvement.

That's how I found I was Protein sensitive. Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply. I started today and washed / cond with giovanni 50/50 and styled with morrocan oil for curls with a sealant of argan oil.
No real big difference really, still looks frizzy but SOFT.
