Just picked up a gigantic bottle of Giovanni 50:50 Hydrating-calming conditioner, because after reading the ingredients I did not see any protein OR silicones (it's a miracle!!!

) However, some of the reading I've been doing says that this does have protein in it. It seems there have been several reformulations over the years. I couldn't find an ingredient list online that showed the same ingredients I have on my bottle, so I'm writing it out myself:
INGREDIENTS: Purified water, Aloe vera leaf juice, Cetyl alcohol, glycerin, brassicamidopropyl dimethylamine, polysobrate 60, phenoxyethanol, cetearyl alcohol, hydroxypropyl guar, behentrimonium methosulfate, ethylhexylglycerin, disodium EDTA, panthenol (pro vitamin B5), cetrimonium chloride, citric acid, *sunflower seed oil, *soybean seed extract, *betula alba extract, *mallow extract, *achillea millefolium extract, *matricaria flower extract, *equisetum arvense extract, *lavender extract, *rosemary leaf extract, *clary extract, *thyme extract, *colsfoot flower extract, *nettle extract, natural fragrance
*organic
Not too impressed with a brand that claims to be natural and yet has so many ingredients I had trouble even typing out!
Anyway, if there is even a trace of protein in here my hair will absolutely flip out, so I'm hoping there isn't. Otherwise it's to Ebay it goes.
