FOTE Aloe or Olive Oil?

I think I may be protein sensitive. I tried the GVP protein treatment & Ecostyler & my hair freaked!!

I'm still confused about protein & I'm wondering if FOTE Aloe or Olive oil are considered okay for protein sensitive hair.

Thanks ladies :)

FOTE Aloe No. Olive Oil yes.

I completely agree with Goin' Grey. I'm protein sensitive, and FOTE aloe vera gel made my hair a hard dry mess. But my hair loves olive oil.

Thanks! I'm going to try an olive oil treatment tonight :)

Olive oil treatment was great!! Between that & tweaking my routine I think my waves look 100 times better today - soft & shiny!! Thanks to everyone for your help :) never thought I would make peace with my natural waves but there is definitely hope!!!

Glad it worked out for you. How did you do your olive oil treatment?

I did a low-poo cleanse using Coloreese shampoo. Then I mix 1/3 cup warm olive oil with a few good squirts of the GVP conditioning balm. Worked into my damp hair, wrapped in plastic wrap and then wrapped in a warm towel. I left it on for about 3 hours. When I jumped back into the shower, I rinsed with cold water & a little more low-poo.

My hair was silky smooth & the comb ran straight thru!! No hints of any tangles :)

Oh and I've been using a tiny bit of the lustrasilk olive oil cholesterol to SOTC - my waves seem to like it!! Leaves them nice & soft :)

This is strange to me. My hair is very protein sensitive, but I don't seem to have problems with aloe. In fact, it's an ingredient I use with much success. What is it about aloe's make up that causes problems for people who are sensitive to protein?

Aloe does have protein but maybe it's a protein your hair likes it. I noticed that my hair reacts to different proteins differently and maybe your hair likes the protein in aloe. Also, aloe can also be quite moisturizing and may be counteracting the protein effects.
