Exclamation UPDATED: Protein-free Conditioners List

I thought I'd do an updated list of protein free conditioners since the old one has lots of conditioners with protein in them.

Aussie Moist Conditioner
Curl Junkie Smoothing Conditioner
Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Curl Junkie Argan and Olive Oil
Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Conditioner
Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner
Giovanni - 50/50 Balanced Conditioner
GVP conditioning balm (Sally's)
Matrix Biolage Hydratherapie Conditioning Balm
Renpure organics Argan oil Luxurious conditioner
Suave Almond & Shea Butter
Suave Naturals Conditioner (all except the coconut one!)
Tigi Bed Head Moisture Maniac Conditioner
Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing Conditioner
V05 Kiwi Lime Conditioner
VO5 Blackberry Sage Tea Therapy Revitalizing Conditioner
Yes to Cucumber/Carrots

If you know of any more protein free conditioners, please let me know and I'll add them to the list!

Aubrey HSR has Wheat Germ Oil which some protein sensitive heads might not like.

Also wanted to add Renpure Organics Argan Oil Luxurious Conditioner.

I have not tried it yet but I see no proteins or anything protein acting in the ingredients.

Thanks for this list...I really appreciate it as I am currently on the hunt here. A long time fan of Aubrey Organics, I have just tried out the protein-free white camellia-imbued one and am hating it. My hair feels like a grease-slick on top of having suffered the effects of a protein overload.

"WavesnWheels": overall, your list steers more toward the natural side which is where I am and have been ever since I can remember. So thank you--a lot. You reminded me of companies I had forgotten about, especially having lived in a foreign country for years now. But I have connections; I can order just about anything from back home in the States.

I've been using Tresemme Naturals Radiant Volume (I think it has protein). I've switched to using only Suave Naturals (no coconut!) exclusively as my cowash, rinse out, and leave in and my hair is LOVING IT!

Default Also silicone, paraben, and sulfate-free?

Are any of the conditioners on this list free of silicone, parabens, and sulfates, as well as protein?

My sweet curly girlfriend is looking for a conditioner that is free of all those things and I'd love to find one for her. Her hair is 2C/3A and very low porosity.

One possibility I've found is Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-In Conditioner. It has wheat germ oil but from what I've read hear that probably doesn't have much protein. But she's looking for a non-leave-in conditioner.

The original post is way out of date, I'd suggest doing your own research. There is a more up to date but shorter list over in the Sciencey Hairblog.

Experimenting with: going back to basics
