This combination...too much daily protein?
 

Hey! I believe that i am protein sensitive. I normally used a vo5 conditioner as my leave in, and some eco styler krystal gel over it. I have the shea moisture smoothie now, and wanted to use it as my leave in. But i know it has silk protein, and the eco styler has hydrolyzed protein? Would that be too much protein? Should i use one or the other? I have 3 in one conditioning mousse that works well, i thought maybe i could alternate between the vo5 and eco and then the shea moisture and 3 in one mousse combo. If the smoothie and eco styler would be too much protein. Any help is appreciated! I really just want to keep my hair as healthy as possible so i can grow it out!

I wonder if your VO5 has protein?

I can not use protein everyday. Infact I'm experimenting with using protein once a week in the form of a gel.

I'm on from my phone so i can't see your products :( but yes it actually does, i just seen it has soy milk. Which is a vegetable protein. I use it a lot and as my leave in after i wash every other day or so and my hair works great with it. I wonder if silk proteins are more harsh than soy milk or a vegetable protein?

What makes you think you are protein sensitive? That is a heck of a lot of protein for someone who is protein sensitive.

None of the proteins are "harsh" however some proteins are more tolerable on individuals than others. Silk protein is one I can handle in small amounts, occasionally. Wheat protein however is a big no no for me because it creates great amount of frizz. I discovered it through trial and error.

Honestly, i don't know. I used a product once that was high in proteins and had a bad reaction and ever since I've thought i was. Now that i think about it, i may have just used too much, too often. I may be good with protein. Thanks for kind of making me realize, lol
