brown rice powder
is this considered a protein? Its in one of curl junkies
cleansers...anyone know..i know wheat is,but is rice also? thanks! |
It is my understanding that all grains are considered protein.

thank you, then i had better stay away from it :(

I have very protein-finicky hair. I use DevaCurl no-poo with very good results. It has protein but it is midway on the ingredients list. I also use it in a very small amount, only on my scalp, and infrequently. (I cannot use their one condition due to the protein but of course i use a lot more of that than the cleanser.) All that say the CJ stuff might be ok if you use it similarly to me or unless you know your hair absolutely hates all protein. I know it's pricey for a 'maybe' though...*sigh*
My hair is 2b wavy, medium, low porosity, high density and protein finicky. |
thank MI001.. maybe i would do okay with it then. or maybe i should try the deva u mentioned.
i wish i could find a silicone, sulfate, protein and oil free shampoo...oil tends to sit on my hair and not absorb...trying to find this is near impossible for some reason :( |
The amount of protein in rice is very small. I wouldn't think you need to avoid it unless you are ultra sensitive.
