Default Protein free DCs?

With the prospect of low dews for the next six months (winter will last this long in MN), I know I need to do a DC more frequently. From my hair analysis and trials, my hair dislikes proteins and oils. Does anyone know of a good DC without protein that is not entirely oil based?

I am a type 2 with medium texture, normal elasticity, normal porosity.

I would suggest just using your normal conditioner, but adding some coconut oil and some honey. It works great!

Do a search for snowymoon's moisture treatment, if you haven't tried this already. It works best with protein free conditioners anyway, which you likely already have on hand.

4 parts conditioner, 1 part honey, 1 part AVG
Sometimes I use this also to co-wash my hair.
Be sure to mix CO and Honey first and then add the AVG.

Thanks for the recipe link! I'll try it this weekend.
