Substitute for L'Oreal Melting Gel?

I just discovered that L'Oreal has discontinued my long-time HG gel, Light Headed Melting Gel. Anyone know of any similar products (lightweight, medium hold, highly flexible gel with no or water-soluble only 'cones)?

I like the Salon Care volumizing gel at Sally's. It has no protein, silicones, or glycerin. It's the one in the large flip top bottle.

Is the Salon Care gel stiff at all once you sotc? That's the biggest issue for me with gels, and why I'm so sad the L'Oreal one is no more. Even a little bit of stiffness in my hair is like the tactile equivalent to nails on a chalkboard for me.
