curl biz products

The curly Q princess glaze contains a bad ingrediant called DMDM Hydantoin which can mess up reproductory organs and other stuff. Now I don't know if I should trust any of their hair products because they put a bad ingrediant in this child's hair product!!!.I even saw mineral oil in jessie product so I will never purchase any products from them.

Does anyone know if curl souffle and quenched curls moisterizer are CG friendly? Right now I wash my hair with islands shampoo by aubrey so I don't want to use styling products that can't wash away with a natural shampoo if it contians bad ingrediants.

The Quenched curl moisturizer seems to be ok, I think, whereas the Curls Soufflé istn't.

Here the Curl soufflé
Ingredients: purified water, certified organic sunflower oil, octyl palmitate, organic aloe leave juice, glyercin, glyceryl stearate, potassium stearate, panthenol, dimethicone, stearic acid, sodium carbomer, allantoin, cetyl alcohol, sweet almond oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, soy tocopherols, phenoxyethanol, ethyl hexyl glyercin, fragrance.

I marked it red. It contains a silicone -dimethicone. It's not water soluble ,so if you use that you'll need at least cocamidopropyl betaine (mild cleanser) to get it out.

HolyMoly, I didn't see all that!! Thank goodness I didn't get it ,but I was about to
One of the cones is water soluble. Any cone that contains Copolyol (SP) or Peg... is water soluble. That process that it goes through makes it that way.

Unfortunately a lot of hair care and skin care products contain the DMDM Hydantoin (prevent molds, mildews, and bacterial spoilage). Like the other posted stated, there are a lot of things that can be toxic or cause certain disease processes if used incorrectly, but are completely harmless used in differing amounts. Silica powder can do so much damage if ingested into the lungs, but is inert when taken orally as a mineral. It passes through the body unchanged and is harmless. And depending on the chemical combinations, it may render them very harmless when used a certain way, combined with other chemicals, and so forth.

I think the problem is finding something that is effective enough so they don't have to use certain chemicals. But we pay for it, by a shorter shelf life, and any other associated costs to find something that is more effective and safe at the same time.

CurleeDST~many people have found it good for doing what you are asking. I have seen and heard it used for twist outs, moisturizing, styler, and a leave-in. So, I think it is pretty versatile. I have not used it and cannot personally vouch for it because it has a lot of proteins (soy and milk) in it. But it sounds very rich. And if it weren't for my protein issues, I would be all over it. I know that CurlyNikki is using it right now with much success as a leave-in under her gel.

What about the whipped cream? Since I have thick 3c/4a kinky / curly hair perhaps that would do better for me.

CurleeDST...that is the same info. that I got in the newsletter as well. Maybe they do not have it set up properly for the code. If you get it I would give them a call in order to get your discount. I take my cash discounts where I can get them!!
