Default Kinky Curly at Whole Foods

my favorite product is now for sale at Whole Foods!

I just read it here
http://staugustine.com/stories/07200...2008_079.shtml

So everyone that is tired of paying for shipping they can get it if they live near a Whole Foods market.

yay!!!

I wonder if this was nation wide or just in certain areas.

I went to WF yesterday before work and didn't see it, but I must admit I didn't scan HABA thoroughly.

I'll have to go back and check.

I just got back from Whole Foods after going to look for KCCC. They did not have it in, yet. I think the stores are starting to get it in. The lady that worked the department said she was glad I reminded her about it and she would try to put the order in this week. This was at a NC Whole Foods.

So, if its not there, be sure to ask.

I'm going to call my local one first. I notice the article is local to Florida and they probably have a different inventory mix than New England, especially the area I live in.

I HATE where I live. Lansing has NOTHING here. No Deva products, only ONE place that happens to carry the re:coil brand (not that I like it, but still), no Whole Foods, no Chik-fil-A or Sonic (I LOVE these two placs...)...

Hell, the closest Whole Foods is 58 miles away in friggin ANN ARBOR and ChickFilA is TOLEDO (w/ a Sonic coming soon! LOL!)

-Deva Cuts better for me when shorter (shoulder). Ouidad cuts are EVIL for me.
-When long: BSRHG, Deva BLeaveIn, JCRR
When shorter: Deva BLeaveIn, DevaCurl Foam.

I will have to check and see if my WF carries it.
Though I have bought way too many products in the last week and a half!

MMM...Chick-fil-a. My favorite. I had it for the first time 2 years ago when I moved here to DC!

OK here is the deal
I went to Whole Foods on my lunch break and they said that the west coast and California wont have Kinky curly until around or after the holidays.

She called up someone else and it seems that Whole Foods in DC, Virginia, Philadelphia, Kentucky and Maryland are the ones that are starting to get it in.

But like someone else said if you dont see it you can ask since it is new.
It sounds like they are testing it to see how it sells.

I wonder if they plan on carrying the KT also?
It would be awesome not to have to pay shipping charges .

So this means I may be able to actually get this at the WF here in Louisville. I'd be thrilled!! Maybe as a fellow PJ I'll have to do my best in making sure it sells!

Where in New England? I'm outside of Boston and my closest WF is Framingham/Natick. Let me know what yours says.

Yes! So glad now that I've been putting off getting the KCCC. Now, PLEASE let it be available at my Whole Foods before I leave for college in a week! Wah!

You're making me feel guilty. I'm in Ann Arbor, and I'm whiny about having to drive to the other side of town to get to Whole Foods. And now they're opening one even closer to me next month. I guess I'm spoiled.

As for Chick-fil-A, my brother-in-law actually considered opening a franchise in Michigan once. Apparently, the head corporation won't allow any free-standing franchises in Michigan.

For the scoop, I emailed Shelley at Kinky Curly. Here's the info.

From one email:

Yes you can pass it on to the NC.com members
I would be happy if the ones who use it could buy it
locally and not have to pay S&H charges. Then they can get it when they want it and not have to wait for
delivery.

...let them know its not nationwide but first it will
be in select stores in the Mid Atlantic region, then
the Southern region and West Coast/California around thanksgiving.

From another email:

This means that they will be in the Mid Atlantic
Region stores which covers Kentucky, Maryland,
Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Washington DC and
certain parts of NJ.

The Southern region which covers North and South
Carolina and Alabama will also be selling
Kinky-Curly.

California stores will have it for sale at or around
Thanksgiving time. And some stores will special
order it for customers even if it isnt on the shelf yet.

Woohoo!

Hopefully it goes well. I know some things get discontinued from places if they don't sell well, so hopefully the KC will do OK.

I don't know...

Maybe between now and Thanksgiving when the West Coast gets it?

Your WF may know, or they may be able to order it.

Is Florida included in the Southern Region?
