I get excellent results from Ellin Lavar shampoo and conditioner followed by a couple of handfuls of Special FX Curls Up Curl Reactivator. All these products have silicones. But ... they WORK. I get beautiful, shiny curls with no frizz.

I have done without them for the past week -- I did a baking soda scrub and then just conditioner washes -- and my hair looked really rough.

The only problem with my favorite products is that they make my head itch like mad if I don't wash them out and reapply them every day.

Are there products that are good for your hair (no sulfates or silicones) that give results as good as the silicone products?
