Garnier Fructis Curl & Shine products

Castella you didn't use the GF shampoo did you? the shampoo is hideous! It has a nasty cone in it.

I dont' know if my hair is porous (sp?) or not. I used to think I had that down but turns out I have soft water so that is complicating my figuring that out. I can't use products with heavy oils I know, they sit on top of my hair and weigh them down. They'll eventually soak in but it takes a while and by then I've already had a bad hair day. It takes a while to get my hair wet and I pretty much have to put conditioner in my hair or shampoo and work it through for the water to stay on my hair. It's weird stuff.

Some people frizz up and cones period. I believe jennyfurrens had that problem, the A cone made her frizz and she's real sensitive to cones. It actually smooths my hair out and keeps the frizz down for me though. Now Dimethicone in some shampoos (but not in a styler oddly enough) will make my hair dry and frizzy

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
I guess I'll just write it off to one of those "not for me" things! Darn it! It's my dream to find a product that works consistently for me during at least TWO seasons of the year, and that I can buy locally.

I didn't try the shampoo or conditioner, just the leave-ins & stylers. They did make my hair really shiny and feel very soft, silicones always do that for me.

Back to the general celebration of all things GF!

The shampoo is awful for my hair. But sokay it will leave more GF in the world for me. Everything cant' work for everybody. You can hog up something I can't seem to use with my blessing

Castella - my hair likes the A cone and I think it's very porous. The funny thing is that it's not dry or very damaged, and I always thought that damage is what makes hair porous. But it eats anything I put on it.. conditioner, creams, gels, etc. I always end up usig a lot of product because it just sinks into my hair. Nothing ever "sits" on my hair, no matter how much cones it has in it. So I think you're definitely on to something with your porous theory.
